2022 Creativity Project – March 29

I swept the leaf fall and sticks off the trampoline today. I found algae growing in the seams at the edges. I tested those places; they seemed alright. The springs have rust, but that usually means little.

I took a tether hook and twisted it into the ground to hold Wookie. I arranged music and settled my other stuff. Wookie liked being out.

I was tentative about jumping, mostly walked around that air walk way one does on trampolines when not using one in ages.

After only three or four songs, I was done. My knees did not appreciate ny choice of any.

I cannot rock it like I once did. Being out was different. I will have to adjust.

The Spring is a languorous dream stretching from Winter to Summer. It will have one believe it is destined to stay, but one learns seasons are fickle. A sweatshirt for morning, a tank top for afternoon. Relief tied to the phases of the moon. Long walks in.dusky dark holding hands with someone who cares. Dreams made real if not come true.

I wish the best of all things for you.

I am making this short, I had to take out my contacts and my glasses are a bit outdated.

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.

New Beginning

March takes her final bow
And breathless all await April
Where Easter will grace us
With the promise of resurrection;
May we each find what is best
To give our souls rest and turn
Our hearts to new spings of love.

Listen to the breeze carrying
The birds’ songs of joy
Breathe in the sweet scent
Of flowers newly bloomed
Let prayers for peace, healing,
And better days reach Heaven,
Find God’s benevolent grace.

TANKA

1
Listening to songs
My mind wound its way to you,
I wondered if you
Were nearby or far away;
Let it be, for peace, I say.

2
I heard it said once
You can be a gift so stay,
Take your pain away,
Speak love and be most welcome,
If hurting, friends, leave lonely.

3
I collect as can
Whatever things I may find,
But more I desire
A love that will warm like fire,
And set every heart to sing.

Restless

2022 Creativity Project – March 24

Restless

Yes, I am,
But also apart;
Love jangled the bells
Setting my life loose,
Loose for things I never
Believed could be for me.
It is vacant now
Like a classroom in Summer,
But I am content with absence –
Empty arms, all at rest,
No chase, still I confess
Love haunts me, endless.

When you dance, sing, do those things – the world brightens. When you create – the sky, sighs. You are an emissary from realms we are yet to live but came with love to give.

We Little Know (linked tanka)

There is upon Earth
Some belief we are given
That all is, and well,
But what we know does remain
A puzzle all unexplained.
The days run fast past,
Anticipation is slow;
Things come, hurry, go,
Love we hope, then sad, find no;
Seasons changing, wild weeds grow.
Everything precious
Love concedes, procures, proclaims,
Ought carefully mind
Only in a gentle heart deep
Does forever, treasure keep.
Never, now give up
You have life, go about it,
Happiness, share it,
Pay your good, in love, with joy
Everyday excellence employ.

I have been writing poems to no effect, but there is with none else too. I hope all is well with you, the world seems a tearful place, but I hope gladness shines on you.
