2022 Creativity Project – Day 102

Eternal

Your appearance kept,
Like a library book held,
On purpose until
Every item is checked in
And pickup is guaranteed.

You are wonderful
With no outstanding rivals
All fade before you,
The Earth dances in color
In the light of your being.

Words apparent delight
You are the heart of life, love,
All things live within
Who you are, my heart belongs
To you now and forever.

Jesus Christ reigns today
And always and forever.

2022 Creativity Project – Day 101

Use for Stones

Sometimes
They are
Thrown
To tear
Apart,
BreaK a
Life, a heart.

Sometimes
They are
Gathered
To build,
A home
For blessing.

Sometimes
Stones are
Used to
Build walls
Between
The in, the out.

Anger is
Cast like
Stone,
No love
Within
Belongs.

The Rock
On which
Love builds,
Broken
Stone rolled
Away.
Risen
Jesus
With Love
To share,
He is
To Save.

2022 Creativity Project – Day 100

Songs with Workout

I have begun to pay attention to weights and legwork. My walking is not bringing my weight down fast enough. I wore my weight vest and ankle weights twice this week, and today I did mat work on my knees for the first time in the longest time.

My Chosen Songs are:
Eye of the Tiger by Survivor
Hideaway by Mick Jagger
One Good Reason by Alan Parson’s Project
Under Pressure by Queen
Working for the Weekend by Loverboy
Don’t Stop by The Rolling Stones
It’s Omly Rock and Roll by The Rolling Stones
Joy by Mick Jagger
We Believe by Newsboys
Survivor by Zach Williams
The Anchor Holds by Ray Boltz
Hit Me With Your Best Shot by Pat Benatar

The harder it rocks, the stronger my workout.

I finished The Revelator, got a little spacey at the end. I still liked it enough.

I sang a Psalm for the first time using a physical Bible because my app chose right then to go lame.

Though I do not watch much television, I watched an hour of Wrestlemania and two and a half episodes of Umbrella Academy.

All this was staggered over days.

Prompt: share things beyond your routine that keep you in the game.

1
We walk together
When pain can no longer keep
Us alone, apart.

2
I can explain it
But to show it will allow
You to understand.

3
Love, we all feel it
During good times of wonder
Fear fades much away.

Gratitude List:
1. My son, Alex.
2. My dogs, Tribble and Wookie.
3. Cool days.
4. Grocery pickup.
5. Love.

Likes and shares are appreciated. I hope you found something relevant and encouraging here. Your comments mean so much. Have a great week.

2022 Creativity Project – Day 99

Why Jesus?

In the shadow days
When the risk of flight becomes
A constant companion
It could be said He is why
The choice to stay is doable.
There are times prayers
Get more than ample answers,
When money stretches
Or unexpected changes
Fix problems beyond measure.
When loneliness calls
Without invitation, Love
Reaches out to soothe
The breaking of heart, mind,
Tears, He wipes them with melodies.
Food to eat, beverages to drink,
Clothes to wear, home to live,
The life He gives abundantly,
The blessing of friends, family,
The beautiful people, beings,
Surroundings fragile; unique things,
Jesus Christ, Creator, is everything
Without Him, there would be
Nothing but emptiness.
Faith, hope, life, Love, gifts
He creates generously to bestow.
Friend to everyone who calls
The Lord who knows each one
Throughout and forever, all.

2022 Creativity Project – Day 98

Vacancy – Filling

Do you feel like you
Could be a paper doll with
Hole-punches where life
Chose to take a bite of you, yours,
Away, leaving vacancy?
Maybe like a hotel that
Once had No Occupancy
With loves residence;
Now windows without curtains
Remind you how much was lost.
Do you fade, shudder,
When memory comes to call
With bright photographs
Of yesterday, other days
When losses were yet to come?
Paste yourself together,
Renovate the rooms,
Bring the pictures out
Again because life will serve
Love, joy, happiness when
You invite it to visit you.
