Errant Lines

It may change nothing
When I tell you, “I Love You,”
But my heart bleeds true.

When death takes someone
And shackles a living heart
To lingering loss
It is, and over-felt, cost,
Touching the ones left alive.

I am the swift ghost
Too quick for you to see past
The things you condone.

Why is it I want
The things I cannot obtain?
Life remains worthwhile.

You gave me passion,
A desire to chase after,
Love left unobtained.

You always turn up,
A memory I still keep,
Troubling my sleep.

Is the gift given
Something positively real,
Or something I feel.

My dear, I do give…
I wish I could somehow show
You all your meaning.

Whatever we did matters;
It taught us to create love
Everywhere, every way, now.

It is no cheap thing,
But an increasing need
In the real world: LOVE!

Sad songs, puppy dogs, and pictures,
To recall when you could not go on.
Yet here you are, and the memories
Are why you have the moment which
Provides all the happiness you never
Believed would be yours this time.

It is, forever shall it be, despite me.
I am a minnow in a vast lake
With no way to understand
Everything outside of me.
So many things try to swallow me.
Life is brief; love is never free.
My heart is a difficulty,
It encompasses everyone with me.

Hitch a ride over
Mountains, hang an anchor on
A star; be, you are.

Love, Love, Love

Do you know you are
Love, Love, Love from somewhere,
Not here, but above?
Everyone you are becomes
Instrumental bringing light.
Quit hiding in fear –
Stand up, be yourself, always,
The Love you hold is
World-changing, a beacon, guide to
Bring others into happiness.
Stand firm and believe
You are a gift from eternity,
Sent with a purpose
You are meant to transmit to
People you touch, Love for everyone!
Love never ends; it transcends
All the differences, if allowed
Love will work, changing all lives
It touches, so be quick to move
Into wherever, companioned, however,
Carrying Dreams, Faith, Hope, Love
To those who stumble, where darkness,
Despair reign because you are a transform
Sent to revive hearts, minds, souls
And call each life to love shared
From beginning to unknown forever.
Stop criticizing who God made you,
Stop letting doubt, fear, insecurity
Destroy you; negative thoughts
Are lies sent to cage you,
Because with belief, courage, you may
Help set the wounded captives free:
You are a precious agent of Love.

The cat is Goobi, Alex’s cat, who has returned here after about three weeks lost.

Alex has introduced me to the Amazon Original show called The Expanse. I enjoy watching it with him. He chose to stay a few more days, which I love.

There were several hours spent in copy editing today.

Prompt:
Take a photo, or write a scene that under some circumstances is common, but in an instant, is very special.

Gratitude Today

Nothing lasts forever
But the things we do with love,
Those are never erased
And they are reason enough
To stay in the fight for life
Until the very end.

Enlist Bliss

What we never guess,
What we always hope to be,
Is reality
In a space and time believed –
Breathed by creativity.

Heart, mind, soul, spirit,
Joined within us together
With the greatest love,
We are the dauntless elements –
Whom God created for good.

Walking the sunshine
Feeling all that is clear, fair,
Like Heaven compares.
