Day 114 – 2022 Creativity Project

Sometimes a conversation is the best thing to have. The give and take, the exchange of ideas, can drive the conceptualization of goals and even the self.

Writing is a conversation of one reaching out and inviting another to join. The giving is without assurance of reception.

Creativity brings a higher probability of conveying thought.

So, what shall we do as writers and artists to prompt involvement?

Inspiration sometimes leaves us reaching for anything to rouse the muse, or call the flighty creature home. This is why I incorporated these small scraps in. I do struggle at times. Creating daily can become less than easy.

What do you do when art and craft are problematic? As a prompt, share your solutions in the comments.

Hope you found the site enjoyable. Your likes, comments, shares, and follows let me know I am succeeding.

God bless you!

Day 110 – Creativity Project – 2022

Far Seen

Only the night gives
The gift of your dear presence,
The falling again
Stellar apart, but the dreams
Bring you nearly here, all mine.

I never forget
How would undying love cease,
A beloved friendship –
I will love you forever
Until stars swallow the seas.

Who knew, you and I,
Through every storm, like lightning,
A flash permanent
Etched like sword blades in time
Moments full-tempered sublime.

Imagined, still real,
Memories, years cannot steal
Coming back to me
Then I own nothing, empty
Hands feeling bereft, reach yet.

2022 Creativity Project – Day 108

The poem, Dropt, and the accompanying photograph will appear in the May Issue of The Chapel Hill News & Views.

Over the years, quite a few of my pieces have appeared in News and Views, USA publications.

I also did the Sweetwater Camera pages in the magazine as a volunteer in the past,

These are local ad-supported magazines. I do not get paid for my submissions. I do part-time work as a Copy Editor.

I hope you had a gorgeous holiday.
