Fear

The usual voices
Avere the paranoia
Should be cast away
It is less easy than said
For terror beds within heads.
Singers sing new songs
Voices join dreamily along
Happiness imparts
Courage to be, grow, outgo
All doubt, with friendship to know.

Dropt

I dropped a huge
Blob of mustard spreading on
My cartoon tee-shirt
I should have outgrown such things,
But does one ever?

There is a place where
I know, whenever I go,
Whatever I wear,
The food is so delicious
I bathe my clothes in its taste.

They feed everyone
So well, no one complains of
The trials in cleaning
But be advised, not your best,
Or beloved or brand new;

The barbeque is
Country, fantastic, filling,
Hudson’s Barbeque
Beats the rest in every test
But from stains does not refrain.

Mustard today here
In my kitchen got me fond
Thinking, so alright
Dribbles are not all awful,
When memory arises.

Places, Ease

The can dropped, rings
Like the closing bell clanging
On another day
Trading coffee tomorrows
For biscuits, bacon, today.
A quadruped walks
Head high, tail, intense sniffing
Finds it is worthwhile
To traipse roundabout more
Or occupy cushions, lured.
Neurons dream special
Cause to gamble on a chance
Presenting as words
Flowing across lighted screen
Deep satisfaction in being.

Juxtapose some ordinary things making them into creation.

Thursday Flight

No morning sweeter
No night more right than this one
I hold within sight,
Dreaming, being, here with me
Life is so good, such delight.

If you can hold it
In your heart, within your hands
Find greater measure
For the thoughts bringing treasure
To stave off all denial.
