Doggie Dreams

It was a day
Rebound from being
In lockdown,
A day
To run far and fast
Hope thought so
As she walked out
The door she leapt
Pulling against restraints
Of her leash thinking
Perhaps this once her human
Would let go,
Praying doggie prayers
For freedom though
She knew nowhere else,
Would rather be.
It did not work,
It never did,
Hope had tried
A thousand times
So, she prayed for treats,
Toys and petting from
Her human
And tossed her tail
In the breeze
The beauty she
Was convinced
She was made to be.

My life has gone through some rapid changes of which I had no control so I am now trying to find new purpose and meaning. There is an adventure in this and I am excited to move forward.
