Four Seasons Mine

I was a bream on
Summer days when boats on lakes
Did drown in radiant sun,
I scantily clothed did ski upon
The surface of olive waters.
I was a part-way-er
In the glorious golden ruby
Of Fall when bedded
In fresh fallen leaves lying
On fading brittle grass.
As Winter came, a storm,
I was a bundle scarcely knowable
For layers framed me in;
Snow, though seldom, was my friend
With its kind spherical men.
When Spring sang love aloud
I was called from my long idle
Embracing the soil, sky, clouds,
That brought me smudged to be washed
After hours of running wild, a rush.

Uptake

Sometimes the world is
Too much in our faces, putting
Fists against our chests;
We must breathe finding release
Getting to rest, refuge, peace.
Hurt,
Hurts are not our destiny,
We are here for more, for life,
Abundance, liberty, love
We are meant to succeed
Triumph over adversity.
Eagles,
We are and majestic lions,
Courageous with ability
To exceed the limits before us
Building more than expected
Becoming, overcoming, reaching
Heights,
We can scale them step by step
Handholds and footholds leading
To the fulfillment of lofty goals
Dreams made manifest, blest,
In everything excelling the test.

Always There

In the darkness, God is there,
In the shining brightness, God is there,
If we need guidance, God is there,
If we lose our balance, God is there,
Should trouble surround us, God is there,
Should all help desert us, God is there,
When we are broken, in need of healing, God is there,
God is love, He provides hope, He gives courage, strength,
Praise the Lord, He is with us, always and everywhere.

Colors

I was looking at a white table the other day, and I saw something I had not seen before. The white space was reflecting back a spectrum of color. I stared at this a while.

Color theory, if we recall, says that the color white contains all colors. It is not as some think an absence of color. So, I was bemused, partially because this was an experience I had thus far not had.

Maybe I needed it, the idea because it brought to bear my intelligence on the issue. Sometimes things have a way of hijacking my brain.

The color, white, compounds all colors. Color should be embraced and celebrated. Everything, everyone is a part of every other.

Ah, that life could be so simple as that. It is though on the base level. We complicate it, make it difficult. I hope wherever you are, whatever you are doing, that happiness finds you and delight surrounds you. May love light up your life, so you see that you are precious in infinity.

God Bless You, and God Bless Our World!
