Held I am held within This cell of my construction My heart soaring for So much more surrounds my space Only partially contained. I go unheard, words, Still, I continue saying Because love compels My heart, life, soul all belong To Jesus, my sovereign song.
Under Sol Under this small star Today there is so much to know, Sentences display As each aspires to make way Into tomorrow’s pure dream. The moments precious Filling up with everything, Better done with care All choices, discerning, fair – Guided by justice, kindness, love. Abolishing hate – Love leads So a country best flourishes; grows, Though seasons of difficulty come Times of trouble, riddled with doubt; Righted in God’s Love, turned about. A tiny globe in space A home, miraculous place Set in the backdrop Of immeasurable deep time, Lives so fleeting, passing by. Being, growing, knowing, Every second a sweet gift To all the hours employ In living within freedoms Established by Love from the Beginning.
I think I shall be happy to keep to date going forward.
Living Time
It could be Tuesday, though any day would do as well. Francis never thought to specify this time, and it had simply become too dangerous to stay when they were.
He did not often have Morgan with him on such jaunts, but he had invited her to engage in some tourism. Now he was more thoroughly convinced than before that he preferred her safely at home.
In his careful examination, it appeared that this snafu was due to no malfunction or mistake of his own. He cleared his reports, but those revealed that someone, somewhere, somehow, somewhen was purposefully ignoring his longstanding imperative directive on the methods and devices he held total responsibility for creating.
The misuse of proprietary developments was a severe problem. No one else could set the variables straight, and Francis entertained a suspicion even he might fail. It was an unprecedented disaster.
He realized earnest prayer was in order. Action must be taken with haste. It seemed a saboteur was in the machine, actively fooling with time.
Tanka Eagle in full flight Knowing Earth is bountiful Stretching forth talons Spying the many creatures; We aware power features.
Prompt I riffed on the thought that it was Tuesday in the depths of night, do something similar and create something. You could pick an object, sound, conversation, whatever catches your imagination.
Gratitude List I am thankful: 1. I went outside without the dogs and took some photos. 2. Solitude. 3. Powerblocks. 4. Imagination. 5. Creativity.
I am so glad you chose to visit Haphazard Creative. If you will, please click the like button, follow the site, and come back often. I am in my second month of a year-long Creativity Project. Your comments, suggestions, and ideas are warmly welcomed. I do a prompt most days; check them out.
How to be a dragon while in human form. First, there must be a firm hold on rage. If not, an embarrassing situation can develop. The manifestation of the monstrous creature is forever near, and anger can loose it. The fully present dragon being seen should be steadfastly avoided.
Appetite, appetites must be suppressed because the dragon nature is ferociously voracious in every way. Feelings of attachment can get out of hand, as can ordinary hunger. Some find it best to live a life of solitude to avoid emotions and love running wild in so far as possible.
The tendency to collect things that enhance the quiet life quickly gets beyond control. Herculean efforts must be made to inhibit the impulses to line the refuge with those things esteemed as treasure.
Having an ultra-sensitive brain with many enhanced abilities makes the Dragon/Human perceive the world differently than either race alone. Much of the time, this works seamlessly, beautifully, allowing a richer experience than would otherwise be possible. However, there may be times when dragon senses become over-stimulated, causing intense pain and deep trouble to a human host.
The above is just a little thing I have been contemplating.
Depths, Mine
The surface is deep Under which builds such delight Hidden with the night Brought unto the broad daylight Cast in everlasting love. Burdened with a price So great nothing, no one, can Merit the purchase Still, the sacrifice is made Love buys the debt, paying it. Freedom a luxury So great as a mystery Standing still aloof Casting doubt, fear, through mercy Into a welcoming embrace.
Haiku 1 Snow lying cover These moments, never over, A bed of clover. 2 Set a course for what Is truly wanted, foray Into fantasy.
While the body breathes Make sure to choose and believe Those things with meaning In depths of soul, center heart, What moves spirit to rejoice. Do not follow all Heard, seen, let the living lead, Reach always for high Things, the most precious, gracious, Neither cheap nor most costly. Rise into the best Of things to acquire, achieve, Count life so priceless No moment is allowed waste; Happiness, hope, joy, love, peace Become guiding principles. Home is never so much a place As a state of being enjoyed with Others who also live such truth.
First, confessions: I like my photos overexposed because I am a fan of super bright colors; my son says it is not right to overexpose; I was a photo purist for years, liking only photos straight out of the camera; I have over the past two years begun playing with programs and apps to edit photos a lot.
I use Photoshop, Lightroom, and Adobe Express, formerly known as Adobe Spark, on PC and Android. I am new to no Adobe offerings, and I have used them hit or miss since 1991.
I have an app called Photo Studio Pro from the Google Play Store, which is incredible. I have Play Pass, so it comes under that, but it is worth purchasing. The photo above was edited in the Samsung camera app, taken into the Photoshop app on mobile, and then tinted and framed in the Photo Studio Pro app.
Some photographers hide their tools under a hood. I do not mind sharing; if there is ever anything you find curious, ask.
Since 1991, I have been a computer nerd. Right now, I am taking most photographs on my phone. I will probably go back to my DSLRs at some point, but I love this phone. I write posts, edit, and format them on the phone. I watch Peaky Blinders and the Expanse on the cell. It took over Kindling from my tablet too.
Alex told me that I would use it for everything digital when I got the right phone. I guess I finally did. It took long enough. Oh, this phone is large; I have small hands and continually drop it. My $8 case seems to be keeping it safe enough.
Prompt What do you want this year to be? Can you create something that gives evidence of where you want to be when 2023 gets here? I am not suggesting resolutions, more ideas toward which to reach.
Gratitude List I am thankful: 1) Change is an equal opportunity earthquake; it shakes all worlds equally. 2) The meds my psychiatrist gave me for pain, sometimes I sleep now. 3) People who love me, even when I am most unlovely. 4) Indoor plumbing. 5) Walls to keep in the things desired and keep out the things abhorred.
I am so glad you visited Haphazard Creative today. I hope you found things that inspired you; if so, please click the like button, follow the site, and come back often. This Creativity Project is a 365, so it will continue all year. I will try very hard to bring new things each day. I will also try to stretch beyond my preferred forms, especially poetry. We will see how that works out. Change, you know, is not a favorite thing of humans.
God bless you! I hope you make your dreams come true.
It takes a file filled With all the clippings taken From the words we kept To organize the meanings Settling each charge from debt.
Vocabulary Slides lives from mediocre To positions of Immaculate deference, Respect meted out with cheer.
You are only you But also superior Than the offering Made any previous day Before you became this way.
Love, you believe it A gift only made a blessing, But each day in life Provided chance perfections Given to create right choice.
The hand held in yours Is not a random occurrence Preparation brought From there to here this moment Two were two, alone apart.
It Was
How the hurting coiled Around the trigger finger, The rifle nearby, Block filled with sharpened knives, Bottles fresh bought, many pills, A vehicle with speed against to slam, Phone, with numbers collected Strength still to override Make the call, a friend, to rouse The will to hang on longer yet. So the news is spared today, Maybe much longer, a run of time, Marching to a natural conclusion, Never doubt the worth of soothing.
Prompt: If you have ever felt down in your socks or up in the rafters, create something that brings it to life for your audience.
1) Alex and I talked animatedly. 2) Sleep. 3) Watching Peaky Blinders on my phone. 4) Wireless headphones. 5) Lovey puppy dogs.
