Sometimes only silence
Can tell the stories we need
To welcome, collect,
For in the moment retained
The voice of reason appears.
Years chasing after
Things we cannot possess more
Than blinks of our eyes,
Acquisitions soon become
Clutter we must eliminate.
If we are so blessed
We awaken to realize
Love is the only
Treasure worth living, dying,
To maintain, eternal gain.

Holding your hand gives
Me such a comfortable
Feeling, life seems bright.

It does not matter
How it is we find our way,
Roses bloom in Spring.

I am so inept
Very much out of my depth,
Dancing timid steps.

I seclude myself
When I pour my heart out loud,
Winter birds still sing.

Fear like a jacket
Slips around all the things thought,
Canceling progress.

Maybe we can find ourselves
In the notes of a favorite song,
Or the driving of a car;
Maybe even when we doubt
Creation knows who we are.
Our hearts, carefully hidden,
Somehow begin to shine
Before others on open display,
For anyone who cares
To examine our way.
We are never fully strangers,
There is a sweet connection
Which builds a knowledge
Beyond ordinary thought, volition.
We are priceless treasures, precious
As the love we come to know,
When accepted by those we only
Dare to hope will loving-kindness show.
God’s blessings to us always overflow.

Dear Tomorrow,

We know you are approaching fast and ask that you help us move toward our dreams, allow us a little less doubt, fear, and pain. Please restore our creativity.

The blessing of God often fills all our lives. Sometimes we may forget to be grateful.

Dear Lord, who is God of every yesterday, today, and tomorrow, we thank You for Your hand upon our lives. So much in our days would never be possible without You made it so.

When we ask things into the future, we are confident that You are already in those moments working for our good. Lord, please help us, everyone, for only You can.

Nothing is lost, for You, dear God, have power over every single thing. You are LOVE and blessing.

Thank you, Jesus, we know all times are safe in You.
