Life can leave us humiliated, hungry, hurt, thinking ourselves unable to make the cut. We can become our worst enemies by letting sneaky negative thoughts slow and stop us in our pursuit of excellence.
When we wish to fly, we book with an airline, pack our bags, and get on board. We are not in charge, we allow the pilot to guide the plane. In life, it is sometimes necessary to turn to others who are wise and experienced. We depend on their guidance to aid us in discerning our direction.
All of us have moments of doubt and fear; the world can, at times, seem terrifying. Within our lives, we have people whose judgment we know to be trustworthy. If the problem is too all-encompassing to be handled alone, it is time to call the flight crew. You know, the friend who will host a few people to help you get off the ground. These dear souls bring the party with their culinary skills and perfect taste. Add someone who has a finger on the pulse of the financial and business body to be of immense assistance. In the case of the meeting, you are the pilot, but you need the others, including ground control.
Ground control can be a set of references that advise your team with updated data and factual truth. While you are trying to lift off, you do not need to leave yourself to hearsay or faulty sources. Reaching for dreams come true, goals realized, success is no easy exploration. One must engage wholeheartedly and persevere.
Putting in the time, making an effort, seeking encouragement and inspiration from reliable sources will give you the background to take off for the heights you imagine yourself conquering. With your goals soundly in mind, you can take flight. Remember, if you stay positive and continue in well-doing, nothing is beyond you.
Prayer and asking God’s favor is also indispensable in the meeting of goals. Who better than the Creator of all things to invite into your endeavor? Be of good cheer, have a prosperous year.

By the way, I have never flown. I just know those who have.
Perfect vision is 20/20. Looking at something clearly and representing both sides is 20/20. This year was expected to come in like the Roaring Twenties by some of us. Get your fashion polished, your music rocking, party down, enjoy life.
2020 did not get the memo. I can see that persona looking at 2019, which we thought we would get the better of in 2020, and grinning, saying, 2019 just watch closely now because it is going to get real.
The coronavirus came in early, and it wanted large portions of our populations. It was not content with one locale; no, it became a worldwide pandemic. Its effects go so much further than the lives it has stolen. The economic ramifications are apt to last several decades. We have learned to live in isolation, but that is not really a rational way. We crave companionship, touch, conversation. So much we have been robbed of in our lives over these months.
In the USA, we are now facing riots, mobs, caused by the ongoing abuse of power by sectors of government, most particularly police brutality and use of lethal force against minorities. There is still a pandemic, and people are taking to the streets to protest. The protest is justified. Damage of property and bodily injury, not so much. However, I do understand the frustration, and if anything can end the injustice, that too may be justified. I worry for those on both sides of the stand-offs.
I am praying for the world. I am writing from my heart. I want to see every life cherished and loved. I want every person, everywhere, to feel that they are worthy and have a future. We are all precious and Black Lives Matter. Prejudice, violence, bullying have no place in our world. We are human, and all of us are creations of God.
The idea that this could have been a year for dressing up and enjoying the company of others, 2020, still sticks in my head. I hope that at some point soon, that may become our reality.
God bless us all. May each one of us stay safe and be guided by love in our dealings. May the coronavirus disappear from Earth, or we find treatments and vaccines. For everyone who is discriminated against may several come forward to ease their plight. May we watch our words and actions and do those things that convey love, kindness, tenderness, compassion to each one we encounter.
I do not often come here with current events. My heart aches, and I must speak out. I am concerned that things may grow worse if we do not try to make a difference.

I support life, people doing what they like, and living lives that please them as long as they interfere with no one else. I recommend love because I believe we are in this world together to be gentle, kind, generous, and caring toward one another. I believe our differences make us unique and should be embraced and celebrated. We are all the children of God, and He makes no mistakes. I think freedom should extend to everyone, no matter who, where, what, how, when, we live.
When things go out of control, and people are injured, killed, mistreated, it hurts my soul. I cry for the loss. I want to fix it, make it right, take the place of someone hurting. I am not able, but I pray, and I write. I try to bring the message that all of us are precious to the attention of others. I hope each person knows they are worthy, that they were created in love.
There are cruelty and injustice in our world, but each of us must stand for freedom and love. The little things, like letting someone ahead in line, opening a door, saying a kind word to someone who is working hard to help, being a positive force in a world of depression and despair. These things will not end the problem immediately, but if enough of us do them over time, through space, the force for goodness will build, and there will gradually begin to be a change.
We must try, or at some point, the human race will self-destruct. We must catch ourselves when we think of being rude, and instead be kind. If we start to lose our temper, we must govern ourselves and instead be calm. If we see someone hurting, we must step up and offer comfort. This world will not change through our giving in to baser emotions. This world, every human being, the planet, needs attention, compassion, and love. We need to fight the darkness and light up the dim places.
We are the change, you and me. We cannot wait on another to step up, because they may not have our heart. They may not think it is doable. We can, I know we can. Good people working together in love can start a revolution that blankets the world with such tenderness that cruelty, neglect, depression, suicide, violence, hate cannot continue. I urge you to be love in the world. We are the world, and we must make it safe for living. Only you and I have the power to do it and we must exert the force of love to make a better situation for everyone, everyone.
