2022 Creativity Project – Day 104

Tribble and Wookie – © Jo Ann J. A. Jordan

We went outside for a little bit, beyond usual walks. Before I got the phone out to take the picture, they were looking at me. Normal thing with these two, no photographs, please.

Gratitude: I had a free unexpected free day. It was beautiful outside. I found something I misplaced. I colored a little. Reading good books.

Prompt: Make a work of creativity of your day.

Thank you so much for visiting. Like, follow, comment, and share as you choose. Have a blessed Good Friday or as you celebrate otherwise. Love to you and yours always.

2022 Creativity Project – March 28

1
There is a feeling,
Extraordinary, when
A new book opens
And the reader goes within
To travel worlds, places, times.

2
Reading is such joy
To be caught up in story,
A shiny new toy.

3
It is  cumbersome
Bumbling through every day,
Searching for a way
Outside the hive of struggle
Into a higher state, life.

Thank you for visiting Haphazard Creative. Please come back soon, share with others, and if you did, share a like.

Prompt: Imagine the first time you opened a book, create…

Gratitude List
I am grateful:
1. The day is near ended.
2. I caught the exuded matter from Tribble’s eyes before it got worse.
3. I managed to leave the house for a few minutes.
4. The pants I recovered washed up well.
5. Tomorrow is another day.

Dropt

I dropped a huge
Blob of mustard spreading on
My cartoon tee-shirt
I should have outgrown such things,
But does one ever?

There is a place where
I know, whenever I go,
Whatever I wear,
The food is so delicious
I bathe my clothes in its taste.

They feed everyone
So well, no one complains of
The trials in cleaning
But be advised, not your best,
Or beloved or brand new;

The barbeque is
Country, fantastic,  filling,
Hudson’s Barbeque
Beats the rest in every test
But from stains does not refrain.

Mustard today here
In my kitchen got me fond
Thinking, so alright
Dribbles are not all awful,
When memory arises.

Bare Trees

Light falls
Shadows
Raining
Into souls
Captivated
By whispers
Leaves titter
In breezes
Competing
With thoughts
Unsought
Poorly
Reflecting
Colors frame
Memory
Doubting
Is there time,
Time enough
To stretch
Reaching
Toward a sky
Bleached
With doubt
Fear, fading
Fast another
Chance
Opportunity
To find
Whatever
Dreams provide
Decide might
Add livability
Bring joy
Where broken
Is the heart
Spilled out
Like blood
From wounds
Only love
Can stitch
To heal
Make real.

Brevity

The dogs
Tying trying
Round feet
Stumbling
As if
Balance
Left behind
In fairer
Climes
Where time
Was seconds
Of days
Sunned
On skis
Rivers
Lakes
Wherever
Never
Expecting
Future to
Steal away
Dauntless
Strength
Endurance
Growing was
Pleasure
Then became
Older,
Never
Let go.

Prompt
Shadows, whispers, the passage of days, pick one or all, create.

ON GRAVEL
The bedrock of life
Is not a smooth surface
Many times are rocky,
Walking is careful
To avoid turning
An ankle on a misstep
Where broken rock trips
Souls toward disaster;
Measuring always
Scenery surrounding
Wild, whether country,
Or anxious cityscape
Where many soles
Travel the pavement.
Business beating all
A heart-swelling rhythm
Jockeying for eminence
Stealing copious hours
To lend – swiftly recovered
Dollars for delicate breath
No chance to dance
Over gravel for haste,
Life’s chase consuming pace.
