Valuing Everyone

We need to be gentle,
Remember we are, as are
Others – only human –
Worthy of love and respect.
Our hearts are fragile –
From being often broken;
Our capacity for love
Though limitless – sometimes –
Encounters walls unscalable.
We shall not close our lives
To opportunity, possibility;
We continue sharing compassion,
Devotion, emotion, and kindness.
We embrace those varied abilities,
Gifts, passions, skills, talents,
Which might encourage, inspire,
Someone else to begin releasing
Their greatness to help all those
Who hope, somehow, to change
Our world into a more loving place.

Prompt: In such times as these, it is best to accentuate our commonalities. Create something to nurture lovingkindness between those with differences.

Gratitude Rocks:
Copy editing, which I thoroughly enjoy.
The fact that I am writing more recently.
Surviving solitude.
Total PA.
Layers, necessary when trying to curb the use of electricity.

Thank you for visiting Haphazard Creative. I am in the midst of a Creativity Project where I attempt to make at least one post daily. I accomplished that goal for all of 2020, despite the pandemic. Most days, I post a prompt that might inspire you to create something of your own. If you wish to follow the site, there are available means in the sidebar. Also, please: like posts, comment, share and make suggestions. I intend what I am doing to be inclusive.

No Hearts, Ashes

I trace my steps through time,
In the fabric of my mind,
Seeing every one misplaced,
Which bought me this, my fate.
Yet, knowing, I could scarcely –
Change what action wrought,
Over time, without some miracle,
Not given thought, to be mine.
I offered what I am and who
But would not be accepted,
For the progression of others
Recollected over years who
In near perfection, which now
Cannot be laid aside because
Time jealous contains its magic –
Until certain days flow past.
My steps thereby slowed apace,
Each one wary and carefully placed
That I might avoid entrapment
In the boggles, bungles of love –
Life’s treacherous quicksand.
Still, I love, remain with hope –
Not intruding; quiet, deep enduring,
But always willing, a phoenix to rise.

The Heart Depends

Crystalline blue days
When the chill makes fires burning,
Cuddle warmth, alright,
Bright stars remind how we are
As spectacular alight.
We choose, choose again
Until matched lives come near, merge,
In a partnership
Meant to cling through good and bad,
Join with loving welds of time.
Believing our one
Finest, best, most beautiful,
To fill our moments
No measure spans such treasure;
Love on whom the heart depends.

Days dancing away
Quick in showy promenade
Leave trails on each face.

When we create, we
Share the rare air of Heaven
Capturing starlight.

I may miss tomorrow. I am having a procedure, but it should be alright. I hope all of you have a great day. Blessings always.

Moments Paid

A few things I lost
Along my wild rambling way
No permission did
Any seek, so none I gave,
Though parts now, I would recall.
The games our hearts play
Are often much uncertain,
Win one, another
Lose, as favor slips away
To leave arms open, empty.
Beauty questing fades,
With swift count, seasons turning,
But what exists deep
Within the pure soul, solid
As sweet joining bands of gold.
Music still remains
No force can forbid, steal what
Feelings it rouses,
A thrill long returning though
Presence, event, memory.
Lost, perhaps, but lived –
Free and candid, trusting love
To withstand each storm,
Taking time for sweet wonder
Passion’s rapt glory measured.
A few things I lost
Along my wild rambling way
No permission did
Any seek, so none I gave,
Though parts now, I would recall.

Embrace

Curiosity
Began a fascination
A sense of reverence
Grown into admiration
Awe becoming powerful;
As days wax and wane,
Knowing a perplexity
As marvel enfolds
With a jolt of excitement
Bringing splendid wonder; LOVE!

1
The rain continues,
Dark falls a wetter blanket,
The hill remains safe,
Out there fortune dances round
Choosing other lands to drown.

2
Thoughts wander afield,
Seek someone on whom to cling,
Becoming muzzy,
Not forthright, confused by night
Needing always goodness, light.

3
Opening up is
Sharp like polished steel, always
Hard being the one
To reveal the feelings held
So long, lonely, hidden, tight.
