Coming Alight

In the arms awaiting
The tenderness of loving
Comfort becomes so much
Lives together entwining
Living more than survival, joy.
Created from the beginning
To enmesh living, being, freedom,
Some seeking companionship
To embrace a life shared
Wherein each other lives peace.
Hope for days, months, years,
Held, comes a moment when
The waiting is abandoned,
For meeting face to face
The find of one another – release.
Happiness it dances within
Hearts attendant, attuned to love
With its sweet intimacy and passion
The gifts shared become the sweeter
For time and time as it continues.

Dig In, Hold Tight

Sometimes believing is fraught with danger to the heart
Sometimes we do not know where trust may start
But if we will be willing a little to believe
Sometimes an excellent gift we may in reality receive;
For fear, it is always a danger inserting its harm
Into places, we once called safe, and we must stand firm
Against the doubts and sorrows, fear conveys;
Life is a parade of hopes and dreams which with belief
Every one of us is capable of making real.
The darkness often chases us and puts us within its delight,
But we are not of it, and we will overcome it with love’s light
We are more than conquerors, God’s children precious in His sight.

All the best to all of you. I hope creativity finds you and all your dreams continue manifesting for you. God Bless.

Fear Abates

When we are worried
About our friends and family
We find ourselves clinging
To the source of peace, tranquility,
The mighty Lord Jesus Christ
Who only and forever sets
The captives free and protects
The lives of all humanity.
When trouble rages
Sickness invades, defeats us,
Strife causes us to quake in fear,
The losses bring on many tears,
When the world seems to
Run in circles, gone amok,
We call to Heaven in our prayers
We find the Savior always there
Ready to help us in our need
He fills us with LOVE and
We receive gifts to help us
Overcome each adversity.

Inquiry Into Idiosyncrasy

Sometimes I wonder
Being a curious sort,
Do we know people
Or do we know them only
As we imagine they are?

The explanation
Of how we wrap others up
In our thoughts, hopes, dreams,
May explain relationships
Being awkward to maintain.

When the hologram
Stored with mental notes in mind
Is inaccurate
Compared to the true person
Acting out in present time –

Worlds begin to clash
Configurations may crash,
Curtains pull away
We are all left gaping on
The bare stage; reality.

Perhaps endeavor
To better acquaint ourselves
With who we may be;
Encourage others to see
Us in actuality.

Well, as usual, Mr. Squier proved a tremendous inspiration. There is one mistake in this I did not catch before I put it on the glass. I can live with a little imperfection when I have been reading loads of it in eBooks lately. I am generally good at catching my faults and heavily berating myself over them. Yeah, gotta LET IT GO!

I told you all I had four pages left in the journal, well, it is now full. I have to find a new companion to see me through the Summer. Not sure about that thing at all. Choices, choices, ain’t that the burn of change? The dog will bite if you don’t put him right in his place. Color, plain, patterned, thick, thin, wired, bound, cheap paper, something with tooth, dot, lined, blank, leather, paperboard, wood – see, you know I have to think this over. It is much more a thing because I take my journal everywhere I go. I never know when the need to write is going to ambush me. You know I write a little bit, well, LOL!
