Day 119 – Creativity Project – 2022

Amplified

Some scream, others scheme,
Almost everyone believes
It all falls apart;
Never completely certain
Theories may truth entertain.

Life maintains beauty
Standing in wake of cruelty
Denying pain stings
With tears, bruises, forgiving
All, though the open grave yawns.

Unease becomes love
When one offers affection
Without asking pay,
Providing enough to send
Hungry shadows far again.

The spirit who thrives
In freedom, whispers delight
Avoiding deep shades
And hands angrily raised
Willing to live tomorrow –

Whatever the future plight.

2022 Creativity Project – Day 118

Worn Hallelujah

Where life goes
Staggering around corners
Trying to escape
The grief when too much is lost
Or drunk on finding new love.
Fingers wanting to hold
Tight to things material
But time gives lessons
On how better to allow
What is precious to pass.
All is a veil worn
By a bride, which gossamer
Covering will not linger,
With a kiss dispersed
And years are away, past.
Only to be today
Worry along nary other way
Find the smiles, laughter,
Learn and again, for knowledge
May keep company after.
Love, it is living
The spirit, soul, heart
Of every human being,
Mutual, a blessed treasure
Often sought, seldom caught.
The pain of years
Memories of beauty, love, joy
Restrain a flood of tears
For sadness brings reminding
Life is worth all given.
So sing loud, pray often,
Hug the beloved
Swim with the dolphin
Share and be grateful
Existing is delightful.

I am intrigued by art journaling. Although I never used elements I did not make myself before, I have friends who do amazing things with found items and collage. So, I am trying different things.

Prompt: Try adding bits not your own and create.

Thank you for visiting. Follow, like, comment, or share if you wish. Any interaction is appreciated.

Gratitude: Working, talking to my son, books, salvation, music.

Days float by, a daze/ Every feeling caught in haze/ Exploring life’s maze.

Tribble and Wookie – © Jo Ann J. A. Jordan

We went outside for a little bit, beyond usual walks. Before I got the phone out to take the picture, they were looking at me. Normal thing with these two, no photographs, please.

Gratitude: I had a free unexpected free day. It was beautiful outside. I found something I misplaced. I colored a little. Reading good books.

Prompt: Make a work of creativity of your day.

Thank you so much for visiting. Like, follow, comment, and share as you choose. Have a blessed Good Friday or as you celebrate otherwise. Love to you and yours always.

2022 Creativity Project – Day 99

Why Jesus?

In the shadow days
When the risk of flight becomes
A constant companion
It could be said He is why
The choice to stay is doable.
There are times prayers
Get more than ample answers,
When money stretches
Or unexpected changes
Fix problems beyond measure.
When loneliness calls
Without invitation, Love
Reaches out to soothe
The breaking of heart, mind,
Tears, He wipes them with melodies.
Food to eat, beverages to drink,
Clothes to wear, home to live,
The life He gives abundantly,
The blessing of friends, family,
The beautiful people, beings,
Surroundings fragile; unique things,
Jesus Christ, Creator, is everything
Without Him, there would be
Nothing but emptiness.
Faith, hope, life, Love, gifts
He creates generously to bestow.
Friend to everyone who calls
The Lord who knows each one
Throughout and forever, all.
