Wildly Untangled

If you need a different perspective, listen to something different, read something different, write with your non-dominant hand, write differently – on a device, by hand, outside, inside, in another place. If you want creativity in your creating – do differently. Maybe that is a prompt.

Bursting Inequalities

We, you and me, everyone, can
Be beyond ourselves meeting
Various people together,
We can learn our reasons why
And all happily get by.
No matter who we are
We, everyone, people, are different
We have challenges, hurts, problems, pain,
So much about us is the same
But from our differences, we can
Teach one another about survival.
Our eyes could widen to see
The hero in every person we meet
For  every boy, girl, man, and woman
Is an example of extraordinary courage,
Strength, punching above their weight to
Overcome life’s adversities, calamities,
No one has it easy or figures it all out;
Others can help us understand,
Maybe we, too, can lend a hand.
It is time we recognized life
Is an uphill battle in an endless war
And we cannot win unless we come
To see we are in it all together
We must choose love in each
Situation and help it grow everywhere
We are placed and chance to further go:
We can solve life in loving those we do
And along the way, come to know.

Spaces and Joins

2020.06.15 Spaces edited

Sometimes I think I am lucky
Others I think I am cursed
Mostly I have learned life
Has its reasons and is unrehearsed.
Between the cradle and the casket
There are many deeds to be done
Some bring rainbow happiness
Some such putrid odor to be shunned.
I find the spaces in the letters
Have gifts to convey if I attune
To the loving things they say
For in them is life even as it is played.
Often I am found outside the lines
Running down highways without any signs
My eyes only gather what appears
In the limited bubble illuminated
Of the space, the dim light skims
Running toward empty with
Indefinite plans that cannot
Be realized before slipping, sliding,
Through my ink-stained hands.
Unable to capture the lines before
The present decides it has other demands
Curtailing the games with fans in the stands
No one the winner, the losers dispersed,
All I have in the markets disbursed.
The sun rising cream, pallid, hazed
Life seeming a reckoning daze, but
I know, LOVE is in the spaces and joins
Where we hold one another
Turning ourselves into better
Than we imagine we will be
Because of the nectar, the treasure,
The overriding dream we still believe
Can be ours forever, living all
We create out of hope and need.

Sometimes the thoughts ferment and foment things not initially thought. I had the spaces between letters, love, and then this came like a tsunami. I can always be schooled.

Conversation

The louder the noise
The greater the need for poise
To advocate choice
One must modulate the tone, voice,
Disharmony brings violence.
Speak clear, true, kindly
Remember sweet words get through
Sell the message without you
Everyone notices shouting
But ignores the plot, good manners,
Quiet take over the avenues
Of decisions fairly chosen
What you think, believe,
Definitely has merit
Just be sure what is conveyed
Is not lost in how it is portrayed
Love is never out of season
Information can find a vehicle
In confidence, moderation, and reason.
