Signed

I hid a dream
High upon a shelf
Behind all the things
I thought you wanted.

Now, I am alone,
The things I tried
Turned out wrong,
You are forever gone.

Reaching up, I retrieve
My long forsaken dream,
Rising hope revives
So I may yet become,

As I meant to be –
I, myself, me
Successfully –
A signature victory.

Set List

The first kiss is a high note
Set wild free without a score;
The wonder, will it lead
To more?

Losing the icing, romance,
Makes havoc of the dance
Which might have last forever,
Recovered never.

Years stretch, a desert highway,
Alone, tuneless, stranded to stay,
But living rapt with delicious dreams –
Love seems.

Somewhere in the moonless darkness
Comes hand holding hand – happiness,
A kiss unfurling ribbons, magic
Perfect pick.

Make it all delightful song, played long
On strings tuned always to belong
In hearts recalling empty years
Banishing fears.

Life is love; love is all
Sharing the self becomes a fall
Opening being, answering the call –
Giving all.

Keeping a love long alive
Bestows health, hearts survive
The harmony, a kiss, not to be missed
Creating bliss.

Abandon the score
There is more,
Open every possibility, door,
Love evermore!

Over Rush

Washing ashore with
Shells in the roaring surf
Escaping the indignity
Of never being enough,
Having no singular worth.

Waves worrying a body –
Left unknown, alone
So long, all valuations
Are ridiculously overblown
Still finding hope, a home.

Dawn, dusk, day, night
Afford treasures, intense pleasures
Renewed with love derived
From such sources as might
Willingly engage oceans of emotion.

Swells a song, harmony,
Set loose with intensity
Delighting whatever is left
Of freedom, wild-eyed liberty
Claimed beyond rebellion, eternity.

Thus, Begin

Sometimes you must lose
To learn to win graciously.
Sometimes your heart breaks,
To make room for love again.
Suffering can teach you
How to live more freely.
Disappointment gives a chance
For an increased appreciation of joy.
When you hit the bottom
Your energy renews for the climb.
When you are left empty, alone,
You discover your faithful friends.
When everything is gone, nothing left,
You reach for God and find Him there.
If your happiness disappears, with delight,
Jesus can restore your pleasure, full-measure.
If you need more than you are able
God can provide fulfillment plentifully.
Nothing is over unless you quit
Winners like you, keep going, getting up.

Interruption

Welcome to my workout…

Rebel Yell by Billy Idol
It’s Only Rock and Roll by The Rolling Stones
I Write the Songs by Barry Manilow
The Grand Illusion by Styx
Get Down, Make Love by Queen
Some Like It Hot by Power Station
Closer by The Firm

I have moved to this list of songs in the last little while after doing an hour and a half working on some grooming for the Tribble.

Earlier today, I finally made it to town for medication, groceries, and sodas. I was dying without soda.

Before all of this transpired, I wrote in my journal, but the music and my movement had my heart rate up to 139, and I think I will do this tonight.
