Four Haiku

The day befalls like
A steady downpour of rain
Over whitecapped waves.

When the clouds gather
Bringing stormy weather near;
Look! The distance clears!

A pen in salute
Is more delicious than wine –
Edifying lives.

Love tenderly plays
Until the music made is
A graceful concert.

Heroes

I rate no kisses
In ordinary moments,
But I am also
The Provider Of The Food.
In the minutes which
I fill the ceramic bowl
I come clothed in praise,
When I set the food down, there,
No one is more beloved.
Next, I sit; I am
Slathered in grateful kisses
I have no escape,
So food is the way to win –
All pure doggie hearts,
Walking is miraculous
Work too, so dogs admire you.

Phantom Silhouette

The ghost, yesterday,
Writes a mystery of rising,
Falling, perfectly played no retakes,
Only steamy, streaming tears
Coursing over pallid cheeks
Give lie to the hale semblance
Of consistent happiness.
Still, the simple setting has
An attraction magnetic
Because in the playing, pain
Is a specter passed by,
No damage doubly done,
Not materializing – nor destroyed
By being again; only felt,
Visionary, memory recorded,
In soft tissue, written like
A blade slicing through braided
Rope to frazzle and progress.
All harm rendered obsolete
In the forward movement,
These crystalline moments,
Of who is and what will become:
The dream opens itself to
Fulfill love’s destiny now, ever.

Love Holds

In desperate times
Trust must take a lead
To bring forward the power
Required to accomplish
And brilliantly succeed.
Creativity, ability, gifts,
Skills, talents, need nurture –
In the rich soil of dreams
With a practice of plans, goals.
Things in time come to be
But only when blessed,
Anointed in belief and faith.
All the world anxiously awaits
A time coming when Love
Is the guiding principle
For each heart and every art.
God loves by His nature,
He is Love, and Love expressed
Where Love exists, He is present,
And when, where, there is a need,
He comes, appearing in Love’s
Action, deed, word, always near.
Love abandons no one, without hope
All have an opportunity, for Christ –
Offers salvation to all those
Who wish to accept His gift,
Sacrificially provided, of Eternity.
