Appointed

When you hold it in
The palms of outstretched hands
Remember how you
Thought LOVE, a most precious gift,
When first you recognized need
To welcome it here
Making the giver a part
Of your becoming
Owner of fond dreams, all things,
Grand offers life dispenses.
Never let it go –
Fade to the burned-out darkness;
Treasure the light LOVE
Shines even as days fly by,
For LOVE lifts us, undying.

Explanation

Listening to music,
pondering life,
wondering about LOVE,
what it means,
what it does not.
Coming in on the side
of the angels with
belief LOVE is the meaning
of all and everything.
Of course, you should
know already, I believe
that bit of TRUTH.
Life can change in
a moment, the touch
of a hand, can reset
the best-laid plans.

The explanation was a paragraph, and like everything lately, it morphed.

Unsettling

Too much, all too soon,
Yet, just exactly what is
Needed, less than is
Properly wanted to fill
A heart, broken and remade.

Giving the last ounce
Then finding the well still full
Love overflowing goes
But answers are ungiven,
Wonders often blissful grow.

Power unsettles
The expectation of who
We may finally
Become when embraced, taken
Near the heart’s loving center.

The future, forward
Like a hidden legacy,
Wrapping lives into
Togetherness unforeseen,
Unsettling obstinacy.

An unselfish gift
Still returns, rebounds, resounds
To bring happiness
Which fills deserted spaces
Uplifts reality.

In the middle of
A life fully out of sync
Creativity
With its sweet gift of loving
May make the movements complete.

Too much, all too soon,
Yet, just exactly what is
Needed, less than is
Probably wanted to fill
A heart, broken, then recast.

The Wednesday Prompt 521 at Poetic Asides, I think, the website is redone, is an “Unsettled” poem. This poem is a series of Tanka joined.

Today has been a nerve-wracking day because someone got into my bank account. I decided I did not wish to do that unsettled. When your life depends on numbers when someone messes with it, it is spooky.

I hope you enjoy my little poem. If you like what you find here, look around a bit, and if you choose, follow the site, or return when you may.

Instance

Years alone, alive,
Love kept, embers flame, survive,
For someone needs gifts
Stored waiting heart, soul, spirit
Within never give up, thrive,
Survive.
When truth becomes known
Deep feelings unbound, uphold
Life continues on
Survive,
Sharing, caring, giving, be –
Becoming love over again,
Growing into whoever
Must needs exist to protect
Life in love that we survive.

“Survive” was the prompt on Prompted Positive Poetry, a Facebook Group today. I hope all are well and creating.

Also Remembered

We learn frequently
We are more than blood, bone, flesh,
Connected in time
Mind, soul, spirit, beyond space
Transcending any physical place.
We are bound closer
Than we expect to each other,
Yet stand independent
In various mysterious ways,
Only sharing portions safe.
When we open hearts
Letting love, loving begin
We join with the glue
Of creativity, tend
To our becoming again.
We are green as pines
Whistling in the singing winds
Bending unbroken
Carrying love forever
Building ourselves permanently.
Like lilies, we dance
Then in a vase, settled place,
We find we are made
Just a while to tremble life
With uncaged love in free hearts.
