2022 Creativity Project – March 6

Wookie

I was broken
Lost my “Hope”
Needed belief,
Her face –
That beauty –
Unbearable
To go on
Without,
Threw all
Including
Thanksgiving,
Aside to go
Rescue
The Marbles
That almost
Demolished
My physicality.

Today, truce,
I never
Trust her,
She sometimes
Believes in me,
We love each
Other with
A dis-ease
Like magnets
Attracting
Repelling.

She is
A lunatic,
I am mental,
We suit
One another
Because
We learned
To trust
Whatever
We are
It could get
Better,
It could be
Worse,
But who
We are is
Together.

2022 Creativity Project – Day 24

I went to town today to get my medicine. A small God Thing happened.

The pharmacy called me and told me I had to go today or they would put the prescriptions back. They misunderstood me when I said I would come and put the drugs away. When they reran them, it halved my bill.

Because I am in a delicate position financially, I felt blessed.

1
Tempers like wildfire
Range through angry hearts of men
No fence keeps them in.
2
Love is not easy
Dedication is required
We must share our fears.
3
Laugh as pain delights
Hide the tears, swallow the screams,
Make light of hurt, too.

Prompt
Share something from your life that you feared, but then it turned to your advantage.

Gratitude List
I am thankful:
1. I made it to and from town safely.
2. I ate at Del Taco.
3. I got my meds, drinks, and sweaters and had credit left over.
4. The Rolling Stones
5. I got up early.

2022 Creativity Project – Day 19

I never know how these entries will fall, whether readers will like them or not. I do know I always hope they bring glory to God.

My life has been a jumble of experiences. Without the miraculous love of Jesus, I would not have come so far.

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.— Proverbs 19:21

Letting Him Lead

This moment, this day
Is an astounding blessing;
Life, a passing breath,
Celebrated beauty, pleasure,
Gifts beyond every measure.
Toddlers, teenagers,
Remind us of the passions
That ran volcanic
Through our veins in younger years,
Still, sometimes it wild appears.
We have learned certain
Graces to evidence with help
From God who teaches
All who willingly allow
His guidance to work somehow.
Prayer, experience,
Discipline through joy and pain,
Let us grow and claim
Nurture and understanding –
Bringing a faithful landing.

My perfectionist and critic always say I do everything wrong. Do you get the treatment, too? I have learned I can fake the tyrants out by claiming I am fooling around. When I push send, they go off the deep end. I guess it goes on and on, never ends.

Being a Copy Editor helps with some of the complaints. I get to catch other people’s mistakes, and it feeds the hungry ghosts.

Prompt
Every day brings its gifts and challenges. Create something that acknowledges what you face today or at another time.

Home

Home is the hearth, heart, of all abundant things, which come with daily living. Where blessings shine on faces, dearer than the self. Time lingers just a while in passing, sufferings to lessen, teachings to impart, reminding no matter what has occurred, God is near.

Choosing a place to make a home is a painstaking task, a time-consuming selection. A feeling comes at the threshold, a sensation that angels are not far off and soon returning. Though work needed may be severe, still, joy fills the soul when into its home coming.

Home, here is only for a space, a time, for other shores are calling. One can find a bit of peace, but greater peace awaits upon seeing Jesus’ face. When Heaven’s gates open to admit a soul, then all the pleasure of home will overwhelm with multiplication. All the dissatisfactions of the world will cease, and perfect joy will be complete.
