I am busy, swamped, working hard. So here is a photo of my dog, Wookie.
I was away, and she ate my shoes and my foot care things.
I have thoughts so I will soon bring something.

One step, up step now
You have a destination
Leave the down step behind,
Chase your dreams, walk your line,
Speak plain truth, let love guide.
Let the negative thought slide past
Pay it scarcely any mind, reach high,
You are precious, your life is meant
For goodness, kindness, compassion
Give yourself a chance for the best
Your experience and others refresh, bless,
Be the memory some hold for hope
Set goals that lift lives aloft
Live alive in love, for peace, in grace,
Embrace who you are, a gift from God,
With the power to help others grow
While learning more of mercy and faith.

As a prompt, imagine yourself speaking with someone very different to yourself. Imagine how you would approach subjects, would it make your conversation unusual? Could you be clear? Create something that illustrates your thoughts.
The positive power
Of kind words is open
To us all in interactions
Along our paths each day.
It is easy to employ
With a minimal effort
And reaches depths of
Need which little else may.
Recognition, sincere compliments,
Appreciation, courtesy, when planted
Within hearts often begin later
To spring forth to the recipient’s gain.
What is given though with no
Return benefit immediately,
Raises joy finding us later
Enhancing the living of our days.

We have people in our lives that lend us strength when we become weak. These are blessings in human form. Love flows from them against our storms. When one enters our existence, it is a miracle, a grace.
Today some of my heroes reached out, not knowing how much they were needed. My son, Alex, called. His calls always lift my spirit and ignite my soul. We talked, and it was just a wonder.
I called Bernice, and she cheered me on as we laughed together. She gets me, even though I am strange.
I have been struggling, and a few people noticed. Today, my mentor, called. He invited me to lunch, catfish, fried okra, green beans, and bread. He also offered to go shopping with me. I have not been able to get myself to go and had almost run out of food. We went to Kroger and Sam’s Club, and I restocked. He is such a dear.
My best friend, Reba, and I talked. She saved the dog, from physical discipline, after making a terrible mess, by letting me vent. There is so much she does, long-distance, to help me.
My people are my support and much-needed considering. My disease, I cannot express, but love is sometimes the only thing that helps me survive.
It feels good to know I have food. It had reached a critical point.
Tomorrow I go for shots in my knees.
I guess I said all that to tell you, love those people who make life bearable. Never take them for granted. Also, recognize, however low, you feel that you are someone’s hero and do not give up. Life is precious, we are destined, what we will become is to be seen. Hang on. You are a blessing.

The Wookie was scolded for making a mess, admonished never to do it again, and then the poor rotted creatures got bacon treats. There was some time-lapse. She was observing proper social distancing since she was not entirely able to predict the actions of her Momma. Truth told at that point, I was not prepared either.
At times we are gardens
Lush with growth, sweet in aroma,
Left untended ourselves alone
Wild as nighttime, bright as day,
Hoping for cultivation under skilled hands.
At times we are roses
Growing scarlet, crimson, upon our bush
Bleeding on the breeze, a scent,
That calls loving embrace to mind
Becoming wholly pleasures given ample time.
At times we are treasured memories
Fair hauntings in the gardeners’ thoughts
Calling from peaceful respite those
Who to our needs shall eager minister
That our joys, lives may continue without end.
Gardens, roses, memories,
So easily forgotten, neglected, set aside,
But time bears us all, every single one,
Carries hopes, dreams, fulfillment,
Crossing plentiful paths for realization.

As a prompt: Do you know who you are, who we are? Consider this, illustrate your ideas in some creative way. Sometimes what we see is not. Enjoy!
