My New Normal

I cannot really say a lot, but I will say things have changed and I believe for the better. I have a computer that works so well I can do creative work I have only dreamed of before. I have been to Wal-Mart, where I had quit going because I was afraid; a few times. Today, I was given a gift, picture below. I went to MicroCenter and got a new holster for my phone because mine was three years old and worn out.

Someone cares enough to talk to me regularly, I get hugs, and I do not know, we shall see.

No Advice

It is not another’s to tell us
How to live our lives
The things we should do,
But facts attest that love
Is a gift which makes
Everything easier to survive.
When there is a hand
To hold in stormy weather
We stand more resolute,
Stronger than when walking
Through troubled days alone.
Maybe no one can carry
All the burdens we bear,
But conversation sometimes
Helps explore facets of reality
We need to more clearly see.
Love supports us every second
Transports our hopes, prayers;
Friends, family, those who know us
Best, help us nurture our dreams
Reach for the achievements
Which bring us to the places
Where we accomplish those
Wonders accepted with amazing
Gratitude because we recognize
Without those standing near
We could never get anywhere.
The great love we receive
Our hearts on our lonesome
Cannot begin to feel or reveal,
So should LOVE come a fresh-faced
Hello, though it is a smile riddled
By surrounding lines of years,
Or smooth as a freshly painted layer,
Remember the bodily wrappings
Are a matter much less than
The tender gift of a heart
Timely in approach and giving.

Surprise

Cheer up, lovely, there
Is a new thing up, going,
It may be so rare
But it has gifts, with you to
Share; if you are nimble, willing.
Staring into the distance
Will conquer nothing except –
Perhaps inspire you
Within time you are scoffing
At restrictions unwanted.
No, we did not ask,
We had no idea time would
Come around for us,
But in dreams maybe a hint –
What foreseeably could be.
Plaster on a smile
Make it real after a while,
You can have it all
If you are willing to give –
Sacrifice the conveinence.
Living is never
Dependent on one just thing
Fate turns on many
Inexplicable factors,
Variable we must become.
The ocean, the shore,
Giving, taking, come and go,
This life, no one knows
Where it finally deposits
Us, until delivered there.
Do as seems the best,
Stash your worry inside hope
Then navigate time
As if you owned it presently,
Because you do invariably.
