Alex Goes Back to Nevada

The will, it faulters
Besieged by sadness, failure,
Come bright tomorrow,
Bring to the present reason
To continue the battle.

Sorry, that is all I got. Sometimes it looks so bad, finding a silver lining in the looming clouds is too tricky. If I had not promised myself to do something creative every day this year, I would just go back to crying.

Increasing Unceasing

Not feeling the scanner tonight. Almost left off posting again. Turned the computer off for hours. Writing comes though, it is like breath, similar to blood, it flows, pours through me unless I let it free. Often I think it owns me. When I guess why I am here, it chimes up with some right piece of poetry.

So, be it. Love wins.

Challenge

When it starts, begins,
We can be lost in spaces
Neglect our talent
Because we do not believe
We have power to succeed.

Often told a lack
Is what we may call our own
Creativity
Shown not a ship, but a stone
Weighing down until we drown.

Somewhere in our hearts
Strong compulsion to more become
Feeds the hungry soul
Making us practice, pursue,
Overcome all limitations.

Every creative
Knows work is a trial, battle,
Entropy attempts
To end creation without we
Express imagination.

To write words, draw lines,
Take the shot, play or sing songs,
Speak the line clear, loud,
Embrace creativity
Designates us, reality.

BETTER

The light of better
Can appear at any time,
But there must be space
Welcoming its existence;
Prepared for motion and change.

If locks are on gates,
Bolts securing every door,
Better goes elsewhere
Finding hearts, lives, minds open
Ready for advances it brings.

Better rewards those
With courage to dare, become
The vision, the dream,
Who chase freedom like treasure;
Risk it all, give everything.

Another set of conjoined tanka. I had to catch the inspiration while the fickle fairy was here, cause when I dawdle, I lose the words, mine to say.
