Stark Conclusion

The naked truth
Arises without interest
In you or me now;
It shows what may further be
And what, going, is let go.
See there is
No reason I can continue
Hope, for you depart
Always, leaving without me;
I am only, matter, no more.
Moving on, I must,
Or become a captive ghost,
Which seems your major
Preoccupation, but wrong,
Because life and joy are mine.
We are not,
Together apart, has progressed
To outside space and time;
Nothing to clothe who
We made ourselves to be.
Naked never need
We ever be, for we are
NOT,
As you wanted us –
Despite my naked need.

Early Sunday Thoughts

© Jo Ann J. A. Jordan

Allowing ourselves to trust the future is secure is sometimes hard. Knowing we are Beloved of God helps us go forward.

Small steps make progress toward better days. We are meant to grow, not fade. Life is not always what we plan, but the stops along the pathway are often where Jesus finds us open to suggestion.

Why we are here can be unclear, but our destiny is no secret to the One who made us. Take time to reflect on where you are coming from and what opportunities your experience may bring you. Hold your dreams dear, and share them with God. He is on your side.

Remember, a detour may lead to a better possibility than we imagine. Love is the guide and is always with us.

2022.05.08.Sunday – Mother’s Day – Project Creativity

Do You?

Know the rain coming down, ravens,
Have the heart to mend the brokenness,
Sing the songs whispering within,
Hear what is never spoken again,
Fear the shadows between letters,
Doubt whatever meant to be,
Believe sharing love best when tested.

Know the child hidden inside,
Have enough to give without blinking,
Sing loud and not falter when heard,
Hear and speak the silence of trees,
Fear worth is too little to measure,
Doubt the well will produce pleasure,
Believe all is precious, priceless treasure.

To all the Moms and their Children

PROMPT: Create something or find something created only for yourself; share it! I did.

The app DIARO is pretty neat for a journal on devices. The share or export command may leave some formatting issues when coming to WordPress, but there are workarounds, as usually there are.

If you have not watched the show, Umbrella Academy, maybe you would find it excellent. I binged the second season (ten episodes) at once. You may recall I rarely imbibe video in more extended versions.

I am thankful for my son, Alex; he has been a boon to my living all his days. My gratitude to God for providing such blessing is unending.

Penny Reigns

124th entry – 2022 Creativity Project

Penny Reigns

I have a penny
Stored deep within my pocket
It has no value
In today’s daily markets;
A relic of yesterday.

I am set thinking
That time like cursors blinking
Is quick insisting
That forward is all moving
Toward something yet unseen.

Hear the deft music
Playing, urging consistent
Movement surge today
Like pennies, time slips away,
Registers without delay.

I want this moment
And another and after,
Letting yesterday
Become a foreign rumor,
Living purpose, my dreams.

Go far, fast, and free
Find the meaning of all things
Meant to have being
Reaching for true liberty
Confident, courageous life.

Forever and ever
The penny like a melody
Reminds me to give
My best in times made like these
Because excellence matters.

Stand full unafraid
The past cannot drag backward
For velocity
Carries into each second
Such growing humanity.

Day 119 – Creativity Project – 2022

Amplified

Some scream, others scheme,
Almost everyone believes
It all falls apart;
Never completely certain
Theories may truth entertain.

Life maintains beauty
Standing in wake of cruelty
Denying pain stings
With tears, bruises, forgiving
All, though the open grave yawns.

Unease becomes love
When one offers affection
Without asking pay,
Providing enough to send
Hungry shadows far again.

The spirit who thrives
In freedom, whispers delight
Avoiding deep shades
And hands angrily raised
Willing to live tomorrow –

Whatever the future plight.
