Ring the Bell

I wrote this after proofing, interrupted by the phone, cruising round the words until I made something of them. Decided, I would bring it untyped, unedited, how it in reality came.

I am not pleased with the way the scanner treats the fold, thinking it may be that the “lid” is lighter. Older generations of all-in-ones did not do this.

In between, somehow,
Rediscovering a smile,
Living, time and space.

Adventures in technology continue. I hope yours is more complacent than mine.

Never Give Up, the Rest IS Yet To Come!

Begin It

When you come awake
Whether or not the sun should
Rise on a new day;
Place a smile upon your face
Rejoice in life’s abundant grace.

Here and now, you see,
There is opportunity
For wonderful things
To arise beneath these skies,
Much unexpected blessing.

Some have seen such dreams
As you hold within your heart
Begin and become
A living reality,
So keep holding on, trying.

Let your fingers reach
A little higher, further,
Do not ever quit,
You have whatever it takes,
Within you resides power.

Get yourself going,
Make a start, a strong showing,
For no one can do
What is given for you in
Favor, in love, from above.

The talents you have,
Abilities were given,
For you to succeed,
Develop your skill, make good
Now your purpose and promise.

Life is a canvas
Apply each coat of color
Until you unmask
The picture full of glory
You can present to the world.

Very well then, now,
It is what it is, always
It cannot be changed.

As, ever, you were,
Make yourself comfortable;
Your life is your own.

Carry on, doing
Things that facilitate joy
You deserve your best.

Our love is a door
Held open, a passage through
A step together
Into the present alive
Building futures, extreme dreams.

As a  prompt, take a common phrase or several and use them as a starting point to create. Enliven the creations with meaning perhaps gained somewhere else.

I am grateful:

  1. Alex had a safe trip and obtained his objective.
  2. I finally got extra sleep last night.
  3. I finished reading an eBook.
  4. I may get a super birthday present. Depends.
  5. All the blessings of my life, too many to count,

When the quiet haunts,
The doubts seem set-up to stay;
Christ wipes them away.

Believe in your dear held hopes and dreams, but move forward. Banish doubt, you are much stronger and more capable than you may think. Blessing to you all. I hope you found something of inspiration and you will find your way here again. Roaring 2020, be bold, brave, and excellent.

Opportunity

I have always supported every form of artistic/creative endeavor possible. I pay outrageously for the privilege many times.

A few years ago, I won two tickets to a concert, the prize sponsored by the company I now do my small job with.

I took my Mom, who had never been to an indoor concert, and we saw Kenny Loggins. The thing is, “Danger Zone” from Top Gun is and has been my ringtone.

I thought I would share a picture. I was allowed up close cause the venue was small.

The concert was spectacular, and I am forever grateful I was allowed to share it with my Mom.
