OverFlow

Some do not understand
Why we turn and walk away
Never
Knowing our fragile hearts
How they beat another rhythm
When we give ourselves today,
How the tears are
Ripples
From the fountains feeding
Who we try to be while
Feeling incomplete vessels
Sampled forms deserted for
Others
With greater prospects, appeal,
Turned with haste into examples
Of what may have been, through
Greater effort within potential.

The light finds each flaw
Magnifies the cracks, spaces,
Where
There is still a chance
To advance, to be adorned
With the singular lovelinesses
Admitting sudden fascinations
Displacing consternations.
All
In all, it is in God’s hands
Who may bless possible plans
Or sudden, place us on
Another path
With probabilities grander
Than anything previously
Understood
By who we could become.

Exhaust

Three hours of sleep nightly, one cannot long abide. However, once medication changes are absorbed, there can be improvements. Even now, a few days in much has been accomplished.

I am quite tired this evening, so I am only writing a few words. When youu are trying to catch up, it is wise not to try to do everything at once. Time was invented to keep everything from happening at once. Pace yourself to protect yourself. Tomorrow, after all, is another day. Should it not arrive your plans will have little validity anyway.

I talked to a lady today with life tragedies that were overwhelming. At one point her mental state had affected her physical state to the place she was confined to a walker. Her faith in God remained steadfast, and today, she is an active and happy 70-year-old

Life may deal us blows, but we know whom we trust, and we can stand in faith against the storm.

I hope this weekend gives you reasons to rejoice. I am likely confined for a day or two. I way overdid what I have the stamina for accomplishing. You know when you set a goal, and the deadline walks in and sits right beside you. It has been that week.

I challenge you to set one small goal and work on it cosistently over an appropriate amout of time and reward yourself at the completion.

Alive

Leaf light filters through
Casting mosaic patterns
Brown, crimson, golden
Painted floor of woods cushioned
So footfalls are hardly heard.
Somewhere a dog howls,
A coyote snickers and yelps
An owl asks questions
No one deigns to give reply
Quiet nestles peace to rest.
As dusk falls, followed
By the skeins embroidering
Night, a crystal moon
Sighs strewing pale reflections
Of incandescent day bright.
Beyond window glows
Secrets like insulation
Keep swallowed stories
As deep as Earth and Ocean
Full as the starred Milky Way.
In hearts brilliant hot
Coals aroused to give new flame
Love Becomes Again
Whatever the driving force,
We, humans, find home together.

Busy, Busy

I live in my head more often than not, but over the last two days, I have also spent time in the real world. Albeit, my real world, I did extensive work inside the house yesterday and outside it today.

My encounters with bugs, snakes, snails, reminded me why I prefer interiors. Guess I should expect the critters living in the woods, but they are creepy.

I brought in the towels used to sop up excess water when the Explorer leaks. As I got in the mud room a little green lizard, an anole, went flying across the room. It promptly hid out. I said some prayers hoping I could return it to the wild, because it would die in here.

I fixed Pepperjack Cheese Waffle Fries and ate them. When I went back to the door awhile later I saw my visitor. I tried to catch it, but on the third try I prayed again, and somehow I caught the little cutie. I held its tail while it sat on my bicep and took it out to the porch.

I am glad to say the release was successful. I am quite sore, and my computers still won’t go on the internet, so I am brief.

I hope you have an excellent rest of the week. Everybody’s Working For The Weekend by Loverboy. Stay safe and remember love is what the whole world needs.

Best Friends

When we are faced
With challenges which move us
Beyond our limits
There is a recognition
We must befriend ourselves to
Accomplish our purposes.
Sometimes this is hard,
Knowing who we are, being
Aware of all faults,
It is a difficult thing
To process but must be done.
We can accept each
Part of our being with care
And find ourselves fair
In aspect and humor by
Finding good things in
Our character, bodies, thoughts,
Giving credit for accomplishments,
Deeds done, tasks completed in
Those times when we went
Over and beyond, each of us
Is precious, worthy, valuable.
It is something to reflect upon
When we doubt, or there seems
Nothing we can do; within everyone
There are strength and ability
To be brought forth in trials,
Never Give Up, Believe In Yourself.
Overcoming is often only
A matter of patience and persistence,
We are resilient,t and we will make
The world a better place
One loving action at a time.
Becoming one of our best friends
Is a gift we should grant ourselves.
