Yellow Flowers

The quiet does not always
Speak its mind, but hides
What it guesses in another
Rhyme set among the grasses
Decorated by lovely dandelions
Whose heads are lopped off
By progressive mowers
Who winnow down and control
The growth of pesky weeds
So they may not encroach
On the uniformity of lawns.
The tenders are sanctioned
By the owners who see such
Service as a particular grace
Nature having to be restricted
Or it will capture all, everything,
In its fervid path of degeneracy.
Wildflowers though possessing
A subtle beauty are unwelcome
As opinions that rise unpopular
In a culture of conformity
Where most every sound, note,
Joins the harmonious refrain
Chosen by those who can afford
To pay the cost of player voices
Repeating carefully designed lines
Popularized over hemispheres
To keep the people in their places
Everywhere, all the time.

Delivery

Sometimes I hurt so
It is like birthing babies
And I must have hope
When it is over, I will
Gain another greater life
Better than this one
Which withholds the victory
Just out of arm’s reach
Taunting me like false labor,
Taking, producing nothing.

As a prompt, make beauty out of pain. Surely you have some of both lying around somewhere.

Thank you for visiting. If you found worth in Haphazard Creations, consider following, or returning when best suits you. There is lots of material here, and I dare say something for almost any mood.

I hope life finds you well and fortune smiles upon you. May peace be your comfort. God Bless.

Have Courage

The fight, it rages
For love to endure.
Be brave; the victory is
Why you are here.
No one can take
Your heart
Though
It may break.
You are strong, hold on.
Defy the storm, or be it,
Whatever you see fit.
Be bold,
Live confidently.
Go on, try,
You can climb
The currents of sky.

Fear is a huge stumbling block for me. It takes my knees out often, so I cannot finish things I start or begin stuff I might be equipped to do. The Bible often exhorts us to have no fear. God provides. I guess it says it so frequently because God knows we are eaten up with doubts, worry, anxiety, fear. “False Evidence Appearing Real.” Unfortunately, I am plagued by the specter.

What do you fear? Can you look your fear straight on and aver it will not overcome you? Those could work as a prompt.

Thank you for taking the time to visit Haphazard Creative. You may follow the site if you like, or come back when you may. I wish you every blessing.

Seven-Fourteen, Always

I ain’t playing silly games
Running around, outside the flames,
I square my heart inside the fire
Committing LOVE, not plain desire.
All I want is – all of you
I will give my best to make it true,
Who knows, our events may align
Becoming better occasions over time.
My LOVE is full, given free
With hope, it will return to me,
I do not intend to steal
For what is taken seldom proves real.
Come closer now, let us see
If the sparks will flare and us be.
Sweet, dear, kind, bright star-shine,
Will you come near and be mine?

This is a song, well, would be. I am too afraid to sing. Anyway, I had to leave my walking circle and hurry to my journal. I lost a line. I had five. I added four on the computer.

Do any of you care about the creative process as I experience it? I do not know. I always find notes about how things were made enlightening.

I had an eclectic set playing before. Jumping all over genres. While I was composing and finishing in the bedroom, there was no music.

I wish I were brave! Please, always be brave!

Thank you for visiting Haphazard Creative, follow if you wish, or I hope you will find your way back here.

I would usually put a pretty picture here because posts with images… Photoshop crashed because something is up with the hard-drive handler. I want to post an hour ago. No pic peeps, sorry.

When… We must…

When weak, we must be strong,
When exhausted, we must find energy,
When depressed, we must smile,
When hurt, we must be pleasant,
When broken, we must mend,
When unwanted, we must self-soothe,
When bullied, we must believe ourselves,
When challenged, we must excel,
When blocked, we must create,
When empty, we must become full,
When tortured, we must go on,
When afraid, we must stand,
When doubting, we must trust,
When love hurts, we must embrace it,
When at an end, we must begin again.

We must continue at all costs;
For we are overcomers,
More than conquerors,
Because we belong to God.
