Be You

The bravest of hearts
May lose its way along paths
Insecure, doubtful;
Love’s gifts may lift the troubled
High enough to trust, believe.

Live yourself each day,
If you somehow lost your way
During yesterday
Make today your tour de force,
Continue in taking charge.
Living this one life
Generously given you
To make an impact,
Explore your paths of purpose
Spread love, care, creatively.
Standing in limelight
May never become your fate,
But a difference can
Be made in many moments
Choosing kindness to spare, share.
You are a precious
Child of the Creator held
Eternally in blessing,
Never forget no matter
What occurs, you are valued.

Ingress

Music roars, lion,
Distant thunder over sand
Dreams still understand;
Giving hearts, delicate song,
Join in, raising forces long.
Love, a hypnotic
Drumline, spirits syncopate
Finding reason to
Raise green velvet curtains,
Welcoming one another.
Breath enough to be
In between the magic thrill
Never going still,
But a dangerous feeling
Mainlining each small glory.
Shaky dance steps learned,
Holding being, hands, hearts, souls,
Love wins, enfolds tight,
Brightens the mind, midnights, lights
Alleviates much grievous pain.
Music begins trust
Under loving circumstances,
Reaching out again.

Cognition

What is harder than diamonds,
But fuels like coal?
The blatant disregard
We have for the dear things
Held sacred within people’s souls.
Often, we, unknowing
As a freshly diapered babe
Are only in ourselves given to see
What shines, brilliantly bright,
Though around us circle
Unnumbered universes of light –
Revealed in eyes that announce
Narratives of creation, creativity,
Inspiration, independently sourced.
We unthinkingly rush
In
Abhorrent uniform to wreak
Havoc with demands to conform –
The mountains, oceans, sky,
Beg, please have mercy on
Everyone, see, hear, know
All are brief and majestic,
Passing flowers of eternity.
We never exist alone, galaxies,
Civilizations, populations
Are inherently our home.
No strangeness is too strange,
For love survives all vexation,
Bringing reflections of potentiality.
Remember everything, every –
One of us is striving to graduate
To higher realms of becoming,
Being, meaning, which cannot
Block out or isolate the present.

Life Applied

Doubt drives, boring a hole, through
The midst of dedicated lives searching
For fortunate answers, viable ideas,
Told in the harmony of truths,
Caught fast in the discord of loss.
We can open ourselves –
Gift one another with reality
Wash deception away with positivity
Discover the best of who we are –
Building value into each heart, soul.
Dancing as we are joyful,
Hugging when we need support,
Facing our dragons together,
Rising like Phoenixes from the ashes
Where nearly slain, we conquered pain.
No weapons fatal required, but reason,
Wisdom studied, prepared, applied,
Freely shared to light a path through
Spaces inhabited by shades of darkness
Securing the light of generosity, kindness,
Love to every area, corner, portion,
All quarters where precious humanity
In gorgeous beauty survives on Earth.

Doggy Discourses

I talk to my dogs
As if they give good advice,
But somehow it seems
Answers always spring live from
Inside me, friends, or technology.
My dogs provide such
Diversion of my division
I can almost decide
They are oracles sent with
Unique provision and blessing.
A cover story
For crazed habits of talk,
Talking to myself, answering,
Sometimes I need virtuoso advice,
Dogs, mine, ink in the blanks.
Living all alone,
By myself, on my lonesome own,
My dogs remind me
Of care when I would hideaway
Disengage, abandon society.
Tribble and Wookie, with clarity
Encourage me to explore
Beyond space, outside our front door;
They maybe understand
I have become a shadow cast present
From the glories of the discontinued past,
But my girls are entirely unwilling
To give me up, let me fade, they love me,
As well as doggy beings, hearts, minds may,
It helps me keep going every day.
