I am in my happy place with Richard, which is a great relief. He is cooking a ham slice. I arranged my set up here. I always come with devices and supplies.
Today was a stressful day, so I am enjoying being here.
I have some photos from the cooking.

Thankfulness: Alex got more of his homesteading done. Richard called and said I could visit when I wanted. It took me a long time, but I made it here. I dropped the books that were racking up fees at the library dropbox. I got all of the ten loads of laundry I did yesterday sorted.

I want to know you, I need to trace the lines, truth, You Speak to my heart Those things which without you would Detonate, exploding life. In your eyes, time, Space, With gentleness reflect Your forbearance for everything. The syllables said Reverberate Like snares, tones, Escorting me to locales Wherein I belong. Lightning sparkles in Assurances you choose, share, Attempting to Arouse A sense of caring in ones Who approach living without Being fully engaged In Creativity, imagination, love. Whose lives divorce emotion From the force Of all the richness Contained In brief moments, that carry Strange variables fit to alter each Experience, changing the game.

Prompt What is it getting under your skin or upside you? Create something that expresses the dissonance of the time. Let your imagination fill in the blanks that you cannot maintain rationally.
Making Gratitude My Way (I am producing these gratitude lists to keep me mindful of the wondrous things in life, even amid daily setbacks and sufferings.) Alex made it safely back to his new home. I finished Silence by Don Dellio. Alex found his cat, Gobi, both times she was lost. My creativity seems to have multiplied. I edit, read, write in ways that enlighten me.

What if the promise Is not real, just another Raw deal, a failure? Waking up is complicated – Because things get smashed, broken, But when it is done There comes a welcome clarity; Reject what does not Serve, let compassion step up, Guide us each into what is.
Once, much like peasants Left in the desert’s harsh sun, Now, relief may come, Though through no action our own But many blessings given.
We have today, now, Tomorrow a hopeful dream May become our truth.
Breaking foamy waves Shining lit by sparkling sun New hope, dreams begun.
Valleys of shadow, Mountaintops of brilliant sun, Our journey goes on.
So fragile small hope Then God broke heavy shackles – Setting love to life.
Desolation of heart, Soul, feeling, and character, Taught us to follow Love, leave division, unite – Within freedom’s holy light.
I will sing my love As a cry and a quiet prayer And dream my dream true.
Fear may trouble us Doubt may torment sunny days, But it is okay We are overcomers all, Our hearts are brave, bearing love.
The gifts, more than cost, Bestow happiness forthright Love, we are for life.
Dear Lord, please provide For us, Your gracious blessing, Help us not to fall.

Prompt When one writes short, many things can be covered independently. Try your hand at haiku, which are counted syllable poems of three lines with counts of 5 – 7 – 5. If you care to, do some tanka as well, the syllable counts are 5 – 7 – 5 – 7 – 7. These short forms are good exercises to prepare the voice for more extensive verse.
Gratitude Now Listening to my favorites, The Rolling Stones, in live shows streamed from YouTube. Spending time with Richard when I did not wish to be alone. Catching a nap. Coming home so I can Rock. My ice-maker.

The bells may ring, people sing, For hope’s return and love’s dawning, The sounds of what may be freedom.
Understanding is Difficult when all you feel Is magnified pain; Welcome to the fierce party Where the fight is to be real, heal. Put it all away The problem and scalding tears No illustration Is necessary because Everyone has scrabbled in The concoction made When one forgets to close those Cabinet doors written of In proper legend, The lore of continued Battles in ongoing war. No one becomes the victor, Only adept at disguise. Screams of despair Rise, rise into pallid skies Pain never fades, stops, But does not lie; it destroys Equally all of the time.
Prompt: Create something quickly, which seems you took considerable time. Try to engage all your creativity in limited moments.
