Beginning ANEW

Handmade Journal

I finished ‘However, Whatever, Wherever, Whenever, Why? Volume 13,’ a few days early. After careful deliberation over my choices, I chose this journal handmade by Disabled and Homeless persons. It may have been stored for as many as 25 years. ( I keep things forever.)

I am considering beginning a new Creativity Project on Haphazard Creative and Chronicles. I do not know where 2023 will open doors or lead me, but am excited to begin it.

I hope the New Year will bring us all many blessings and joy. If you like, join me here, and we can explore possibilities together.

Best wishes for your wellness and growth. Be prepared to accept the abundance coming your way.

We are all treasures from the hands of the Creator, and good things are stored up for us. We must be courageous to grasp the opportunities that come our way. Walking into the future with Love, good fortune will find us.

Always and Ever,
Jo Ann

Sunday’s Thoughts

I wrote these with a fountain pen, which is not my best instrument. These are my journal pages. If you read them, you will get insight into where and what my state of mind is.

I would have scanned them into the computer, but my equipment and the program did not cooperate with me. Therefore, I did the phone as I have for the past months.

Showing journal pages is a level of openness I can do, but it is a bit uncomfortable. I have no idea how this audience will react, so it is a gamble.

How revealing can you be? Consider that a prompt.

Blessings, I hope, always find you. Jesus, lend you peace. Live, alive, and Love cause that is why we are here on Earth.

Sweet Surprise

I returned an item to my Sister-in-Law, Linda, this afternoon. We had some pleasant conversation. I was happy to visit.

Then she said this is a birthday/Christmas present, and gave me these lovely things. I was surprised and joyful. I mean, WOW! I cannot wait to finish my current journal, though sadly, it will be a while.

We talked about church, and I said I was not going. She invited me to come to her church, which was my church before, and that may happen.

I need more personal interaction. I have very nearly become a hermit.

Anyway, beautiful things given to me by a very dear person.

Opening the Heart Door

Journal Page with Tanka, Poem, and Illustration

There are times when showing how things germinate and become seem essential to share. The above is a journal page. I think we all need to know that however our process works, it is okay.

Creativity can be messy. It can also travel in lots of directions to get to an end, and even then, we may wonder what we have. Learning to trust ourselves in our media is why I feel working every day is most important. Even when insecurity and doubt assail us, doing what we love is a refuge and something we cannot give up.

Prompt: Share something you are working on creatively, even if you feel it is still rough around the edges.

Gratitude:
I got up today to sunshine and opportunity.
I found some cool guitar jams.
My workstation.
I have great tools.
Sodas.

OverFlow

Some do not understand
Why we turn and walk away
Never
Knowing our fragile hearts
How they beat another rhythm
When we give ourselves today,
How the tears are
Ripples
From the fountains feeding
Who we try to be while
Feeling incomplete vessels
Sampled forms deserted for
Others
With greater prospects, appeal,
Turned with haste into examples
Of what may have been, through
Greater effort within potential.

The light finds each flaw
Magnifies the cracks, spaces,
Where
There is still a chance
To advance, to be adorned
With the singular lovelinesses
Admitting sudden fascinations
Displacing consternations.
All
In all, it is in God’s hands
Who may bless possible plans
Or sudden, place us on
Another path
With probabilities grander
Than anything previously
Understood
By who we could become.
