The dove flew onto the ledge outside the window and cooed so softly it was almost a suggestion rather than a song. Charity heard the sweet sound and turned to look at the bird. Somehow its appearance seemed a grace.
She smiled a little, then a bit more, the lift reaching her green eyes. Charity was a stranger to these sterile rooms and the dove felt like a warmer welcome. Something less a problem than what she was going through.
How did one acclimate being taken miles and more, states, from home? Being was strange without the familiar things that kept her comfort when the world was too much to bear.
A few bags, some devices, were her packing for a week, maybe two – not months. She had trusted the situation would be temporary. How had it come to this?
Today, and most times, I am amazed at the glorious around, within, outside, about us. The world we have is astounding.
Prompt: Take a deep breath! Pick one thing in your environment that makes you smile. Create something to allow others to experience it as you do.
We have instant access to such an abundance, and miracles happen consistently. Technology puts magic at our fingertips. There is no limit to what we can create.
What are you grateful for today? List at least five things, or more if you wish.
Who do you need to share your Love with today? All sentient beings deserve recognition but focus on one of them all.
May the Lord surround you in abundant blessing now and evermore.
I have been doing things and keeping busy. I am sure you have, too. I have hung out on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter much less than I once did. I find I believe Social Media is less than sociable. I am opting for more conversations by phone and meetings in person.
I have some things to share, and I hope you will be informed and interested. I have recently completed the first draft (a very rough one) of a book project I hope to finish by year’s end. I have to flesh it out, design, intensively edit, and possibly publish it. I will be updating progress here as I continue.
I have a concept cover, but it may, and likely, will change:
I am visiting my son, Alex, in Brownsville, Texas, where he works for Space X. It is a real treat seeing him daily after he spent so much time at a distance. I caught him and Maui on the beach recently:
2. Being alive and at least somewhat healthy. There are pains, but not so much that I cannot smile.
3. Adventures of time and space.
4. Love given and recieved.
5. Creativity in various and plentiful forms.
As a prompt: Pick something recently seen or done and create a work around it. Use whatever media you choose, then share it if you like. Your story has meaning and is important.
That is all I have for now. I hope life is treating you well. Thank you for sharing your time here on Haphazard Creative. If you found it pleasant give a like, comment, and/or share with someone you believe would find this content to their liking.
